In an Instagram post, Jason shared photographs from his kids’ first Metallica performance, giving followers an insight into his unforgettable family excursion. The actor’s poignant tweet highlighted the close friendship he has with Nakoa-Wolf, 16, and Lola, 17.
The actor shared his excitement in the comment, “I LOVE U @metallica. SO HONORED TO BE INTRODUCING THEM AT @allwithinmyhandsfoundation.” Please check out this amazing foundation. My babies’ first Metallica concert. The happiest dad in the world. Chhhhhhheeeeehuuuuuuuuu. “Hello, j.”
The post included a collection of candid and upbeat photos taken on December 13, 2024, at Metallica’s “All Within My Hands Helping Hands” event at the YouTube Theatre in Los Angeles. In one, Jason stood with Lola and a Metallica band member, beaming with pride as a parent.
Another snapshot recorded a lighthearted moment in which Nakoa-Wolf struck ridiculous poses as Jason hugged Lola tight and smiled at the camera. Additional photos captured the family relishing the musical atmosphere, chuckling, beaming with joy, and interacting with the band members. Wide smiles and positive energy shone through every photo, capturing the spectacular evening.
Jason Momoa’s Instagram image had followers gushing about their amazing night and how gorgeous the actor looked with his son and daughter. One admirer said, “Beautiful kids!!!” “Your son looks just like you. Wow, congrats, proud daddy,” exclaimed one admirer, while another reminisced about how much your son resembled you during your days on Baywatch.
“Wolf is going to look just like his old man,” one admirer observed, echoing another who shouted, “Wolf is your twin!!!” “You guys look amazing.” “Wolf is a cutie, just like his dad,” was the next thought that crossed my mind.
Many people expressed their adoration for Lola. “OMG. The girl is Dad’s twin, while the boy is Mom’s twin. “So sweet ❤️ [sic],” one fan noted, while another observed, “Kids grow up so quickly!”! Lola’s height resembles that of her father! Love to Jason and his family! ❤️ [sic].
“Lola is an incredibly attractive young woman. “She looks exactly like her mother,” one comment read, followed by a humorous caution for Nakoa-Wolf, “Wolf, you’ll be fleeing from the females in no time if you haven’t already,” he said, spitting an image of Dad. “BOO, the family looks great.”
Fans couldn’t help but notice how much the youngsters had changed, remarking, “Wow, have they grown!” Lola is definitely Daddy’s girl! 🤘” “Your kids have truly matured.” Your daughter is nearly as tall as you. They are just as gorgeous as you. Much love,” said one more admirer.
“Wolf looks different too,” one admirer pointed out, while others mused on time passing. “Wow, they’ve grown so much; time passes by so quickly.” Another person agreed, saying, “Time, slow down! Your gorgeous babies have grown so much! Good job, Papa!”
Finally, Lola’s sleek style was observed by fans, who remarked, “DIDN’T RECOGNIZE [sic] LOLA WITH HER STRAIGHT BEAUTIFUL HAIR.”
At the event, Jason took the stage to introduce the band, displaying his gregarious and playful side. He shared how Metallica’s music served as a guiding light in his life, providing an outlet for his rage and despair during his darkest days.
He also paid tribute to his children. “There’s a saying, ‘You should never meet your heroes; they will ultimately let you down,’ but not in this case, because tonight… my children get to see me living out my dream, standing next to my heroes.”
Jason went on: “And my kids get to witness how Metallica has inspired all of us, not just in the power of music but in the good that they bring to this world with ‘All Within My Hands.’”
Jason cherishes his children and has always been purposeful in his parenting, relying on his own experiences growing up without a father at home. This has profoundly influenced how he raises Nakoa-Wolf, ensuring that his presence, direction, and connection are consistent and meaningful.
“I had no idea what it took to be a father. And I don’t want to just tell my son, ‘Because I said so.’ I want to connect with him and encourage him to be vulnerable and open,” the actor continued.
The “Sweet Girl” singer keeps his affection for his children near to his heart—literally. He had their first names tattooed on his breast, in their own youthful handwriting, ripped from the sheets of paper where they originally scrawled their names, as a lasting reminder of their connection.
In March 2024, Jason expressed his immense satisfaction, citing his family’s health and prosperity as the source of his pleasure. “I’m achieving all of my life goals. As a parent, I see my children as healthy, robust, academically successful, and just gorgeous. And so I’m in this state of pure thankfulness,” he explained.
We asked Jason in a recent interview how his real-world experience as a parent influenced his acting. He said that, while he tries to keep his roles distinct from his family life, some of his actual sentiments unavoidably emerge.
“It’s impossible to fully capture what it’s like to be a parent without tapping into that deep love and willingness to do anything for your children,” he told me.
Aside from his profession, Jason has dedicated himself to creating memories and imparting life lessons via his pursuits. Inspired by his mother, he discovered a passion for skateboarding and rock climbing, which instilled in him a feeling of independence and daring. Now he’s passing that heritage down to his children.
“If I teach them to skate, they can be bold and brave in any terrain,” he told me. “And if I teach them how to climb, they will be able to push themselves and overcome their fear. Every time my children play, they can sense their papa’s presence.”
Despite his burgeoning celebrity, the Hollywood actor insisted that he lived a regular life with his children. “[…] We go camping, perform music, and rock climb […]. When I’m with my children, I just try to be Dad,” he remarked.
In November 2022, the “Justice League” actor walked the red carpet with his two children to celebrate the opening of his film “Slumberland.” “My babies and my family are the most important thing,” the devoted parent added.
